BIO
Stephen Feeney, Founder of SightRight has coached more than 50 World Snooker Tour Professionals since 1997 including many greats of the game Terry Griffiths, Steve Davis, Mark Williams, Stephen Hendry & Ronnie O’Sullivan
(Plus many other Professionals incl – Shaun Murphy, Mark Allen, Mark Davis, Martin Gould, Joe Perry, Tom Ford, David Gilbert to name but a few.
Feeney introduced his patented SightRight Technology and Coaching Methods into professional Snooker in January 1997 when helping the late Terry Griffiths retire at the Crucible in 1997.
In 2005 Steve Davis credited Feeney’s SightRight Methods as ‘making him feel like a player again’ when defeating Stephen Hendry & Stephen Maguire to reach the Final of the UK Championship against Ding Junhui.
From 2011 – 2016 Feeney was the coach behind Stuart Bingham’s first Ranking Title in Australia with a further 8 Titles, including the Premier League Title and an amazing World Championship Title in 2015.
Their successful coaching partnership over 5 years also saw Bingham shoot to World No.2. This was the first time Feeney’s unique snooker coaching skills really hit the Snooker Media.
Then came the rejuvenation of Mark William’s career. Falling down the Rankings, considering retirement, William’s link up with Feeney in June 2017 soon hit the headlines in a big way.
Williams second German Masters title in February 2018 was followed 2 months later by an incredible third World Title, 15 years after his second.
The coaching partnership saw Williams quoting Feeney as “The best coach in the World” and his rejuvenation continued with Multiple Ranking title win over a 4-5 year period with Feeney.
Williams held a SightRight Ambassador role for the SightRight Global CueSports Network until they parted ways early in 2023. Williams has since worked with close friend Lee Walker who was trained as SightRight Level 1 Coach under Feeney.
Ronnie O’Sullivan having closely observed the impact of Feeney’s coaching success with Williams, was the next Class of 92 to enlist Feeney’s expertise, telling Andy Goldstein on Eurosport that he was re-inventing himself with SightRight.
Feeney’s work with Ronnie O’Sullivan between 2018 – 2023 saw a remarkable improvement in the 5x World Champions long game accuracy and many records were broken including 1,000 Centuries, a 7th UK Championship, surpassing Stephen Hendry’s Ranking Title (36) and Triple Crown (18) records (with 37 & 20 respectively) – a return to World No.1 when winning the 2019 Tour Championship in Llandudno.
A high performance goal between Feeney & O’Sullivan at the outset of the coaching partnership was to see O’Sullivan achieve 3 World Titles in 5 years to break Hendry’s World Record.
A 6th World Title soon came in 2020 followed by a 7th record equalling World Title in 2022 with O’Sullivan crediting and thanking Feeney in his book ‘Unbreakable’, alongside Frank Adamson, Ray Reardon and Steve Peters.
7x World Champion Stephen Hendry MBE and 2003 World Champion and 2021 R/Up Shaun Murphy are also SightRight Ambassadors.
Stephen Hendry considers the SightRight Coaching System to be the one best coaching method in the game today.
